I would like to announce that the live scanner feeds KNS use to broadcast will no longer be available. I have decided to shut my scanner feeds down and no longer broadcast. I have reasons why but will not go into them. I want to thank Radio Reference and Scan America for letting me broadcast with them. I want to also thank all the listeners who listened to the feeds. Sorry to anyone who use to listen to them.

Kerns News Service plans to be out there in the early morning hours to capture video of the storms first arrival and continue for most of the day. KNS will bring the video to you of this storm. Check back for more of this major snow storm.
On Saturday December 5th 2009 Allentown Fire Dept. was dispatched to 2949 Allen St. for multiple calls of a house fire. When AFD arrived on scene they found a vacant home fully involved. Heavy fire was through out the house. Command on scene commanded a defensive attack on the fire and struck a 2nd alarm for man power. The call came in around 0400 hours. Engine 10 used their deck gun to attack the fire and Truck 1, Truck 2, and Engine 11 used their aerials to attack the blaze.The house was completely destroyed in the fire and was demolished by mid-day Saturday by a wrecking crew.
The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshall's office and State Police.
